Videopening Day Countdown #13: Greinke wears the wrong jersey
Remember when Zack Greinke wore his Bierbrauer jersey a game early? As silly as it was, a lot of people made a big deal about it. If my memory serves correctly, Greinke had to pay a small fine for being out of the dress code. I can’t wait to see those Bierbrauer jerseys again this season.

6 days until OPENING DAY!
This reminder brought to you by Rickie Weeks. =)

I bought tickets for the Brewers v. Cardinals game on Easter. I had to. They’re giving away a 2011 DVD and since it was such a magical year, you bet your bottom dollar I had to go. I found my sweet seats on stubhub. Two tickets in the 217 Loge section for $24 a piece. That was a steal, considering all seats around them were $50 and up. It’s a no-alcohol section but that doesn’t...

The predictions on when Corey Hart will be...
Corey Hart will continue to play in minor league games this week. He said that it’s unlikely he’ll be in the lineup for the opening series versus the Cardinals (boo). However, he could be there for the Chicago series, or at the very latest, the Atlanta series.
I better see him in the lineup for the Rockies series in mid-April!

Happy birthday, Corey Hart!
On behalf of all Brewers fans, I’d like to wish you a very happy birthday, Corey Hart! The best thing on this day would be Ron Roenicke announcing to the media that you’ll be ready by Opening Day (we can all hope, right?).
Tractors and hoes, buddy! =)

Videopening Day Countdown #12: Cut Fastball Tips by Narveson and Wolf
Today marks it two weeks until Miller Park opens again and the regular season begins in Milwaukee. During this past spring training, as fans, we’ve been hearing different things that our pitchers have been working on. Yovani Gallardo worked on his changeup against the Dodgers this past week, and now the rest of our...

Is there baseball in China?
Recently, an opportunity to teach English in China for a year has presented itself to me. My brother’s girlfriend, who is Chinese, has sort of hooked me up with a job working along her aunt at a unversity in her hometown.
While the details of the position are still being worked out, I started to think of what I’d be sacrificing (if any) or leaving behind, per se, in Milwaukee. First,...

Opening Day Weekend Starters Announced!
I read on Twitter two days ago (this may be old news to you all) that the starters have been listed for Brewers Opening Weekend. It was said that they’re subject to change, but the likelihood of this being the beginning of the starting rotation is pretty high.
April 6th : Yovani Gallardo
April 7th: Zack Greinke
April 8th: Randy Wolf
Also, things to note: Shaun Marcum has said that...

When Brooks Conrad plays third base, he looks like a thin Casey McGehee. It doesn’t help that he’s wearing jersey no. 14 either.
Anyone agree?

The new catch phrase?
I saw a tweet yesterday by beat writer, Tom Haudricourt. He had asked Randy Wolf about the crazy work he and George Kottaras did yesterday against the Cubs. He coined it:
“Wolfattaras.”
The Wolfattaras rampaged Arizona yesterday. I hope to see more Wolfattaras sightings in April.

Brewers make their first cuts
As of late, I’ve been reading about Frankie De La Cruz’s fate with the Brewers bullpen, and Ron Roenicke saying that Logan Schafer isn’t going anywhere any time soon. With that being said, I’m sure our curiosities as to who will be on the roster in 22 days in everyone’s minds. Here are some who won’t be:
Brock Kjdelgaard, OF
Cody Scarpetta, RHP
I’m not...

I’ve got to say, so far, our starters look good. Even Marco Estrada was looking confident yesterday. Now, we need Shaun Marcum to get healthy, and work on our setup guys. This means you, Frankie de la Cruz.
Oh, and update:
Chris Narveson will start in tomorrow’s Cubs v. Brewers game. It’ll be interesting to see Dale Sveum in a Cubs jersey (gasp!). I wish the best of luck to...

ARE WE FINALLY PLAYING SMALL BALL, BREWERS?
You can’t rely on homers to produce our runs, Ron Roenicke.

Videopening Day Countdown #10: Yovani Gallardo’s Strong Spring Start
Yovani Gallardo had his first start for the spring training on 3/6/12 against the Oakland Athletics (where we also saw Rickie Weeks’ younger brother!). If anyone watched him, he looked fabulous. He looked cool and confident, and knew what he was doing. I think it’s a sign that he’ll do some tremendous...

Ryan Theriot has one requirement, for those interested in signing him: You had to have one a World Series at some point.

Did anyone hear that?
Last night when I was watching the Brewers/Giants spring training game, they interviewed Sergio Romo of the Giants on the MLB Network. As he was talking about how he felt during the playoffs last year, I could have sworn he said “pussies.” I also could have sworn I heard the announcers say “sons of bitches,” too. I wasn’t offended or anything. I was just shocked! I...

Corey Hart is having surgery on his knee today. I pray that it’s not more serious than it is. I don’t want another Opening Day to go by and I don’t see his tall, gangly self in the right field.
I’m sure Mat Gamel would like him to be there, too.
By the way, if you don’t know the story on how he injured his knee, this is it. He fell and tripped on his cleats on...

ONE MONTH UNTIL OPENING DAY!
I would like to remind all of you kiddos out there, that in one month from today, Miller Park will be opening its doors to Brewers and Cardinals (ick) fans alike.
T. Plush will remind you, too:
April 6th is drawing near!

Oh joyous day! I get to watch baseball again!
Like many of us baseball fans who have been patiently waiting for Opening Day 2012 since 2011 ended, today is finally one of those days where I can be reunited with the field! Today’s game is another spring training exhibition game featuring the San Francisco Giants and, my boys, the Milwaukee Brewers. The Brewers will be televised on MLB Network in Scottsdale, AZ. The game starts at 8:35,...

Yay! We get to hear Bob Uecker on the radio!
Brewers have their first Cactus League game against the San Francisco Giants today. What’s even better about this first game is that Bob Uecker and Joe Block will be calling the game at 2:00 CT on 620AM. I already have my radio out, see below. You know it’s baseball season when you have your radio out and ready to go. That radio will not leave that windowsill until the end of October. Baseball has...

Videopening Day Countdown #9: Shaun Marcum’s Grandslam
On July 4, 2011, Shaun Marcum came up to bat. The Brewers were playing against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Little did those in attendance know that Marcum was to belt out a grand slam against pitcher, Daniel Hudson. It was the first time in a year a pitcher had hit one, and it was the first time in my life to see it done. Although the...

Remember when we met, Chris Narveson?
Two days ago, Chris Narveson replied to one of my tweets!
I tagged him saying: “Everytime I see he’s on Twitter, I want to yell NARVDOG!”
He replied saying: “I won’t judge. You can yell.”
HAHA! Awesome day.
